About Family Fitness Magazine
Set up in August 2009 by a local family, Family Fitness Magazine aims to be the definitive guide to health, fitness and wellbeing to families of all ages in Wokingham. Full of exciting, useful and informative articles and information for local residents whilst providing local businesses with a much needed affordable platform in which to advertise.
At Family Fitness Magazine, we are passionate about getting fit, staying healthy, being active and feeling happy and our editorail team consists of local Wokingham experts who lead by example so the health of your family or business couldn’t be in better hands.
Catherine is the Editor of Family Fitness Magazine, mum of three and local Yoga Teacher. (http://www.catherinejayne.co.uk) Her passion is in sharing the joy of yoga and health with others and loves teaching adults, children and families – including her own! Catherine comes from an internet & marketing background although her formative work was spent in healthcare.
Kevin is a Family Fitness Magazine contributor, new dad and local Kung-Fu teacher (http://www.kamon.co.uk – see Wokingham). He loves his daily martial arts, kettlebell and fitness training and believes burpees are for heroes! Kevin’s background is in database development and computer programming and his hobbies include writing, reading and motivating the family to workout!
Nicola is an editorial contributor to Family Fitness Magazine. Based in Wokingham, she’s our resident swimming expert, having swum the English Channel twice (so far…!) As a freelance journalist, she writes regularly for consumer sport and fitness magazines including 220 Triathlon, Triathlete’s World and Women’s Fitness. She also works as a freelance copywriter, helping local businesses write the text for their websitesand marketing communications. A regular gym-goer at St Crispins, she also enjoys swimming, cycling, running and triathlon. She’s married to Mark, an accomplished mountain-biker. http://www.nicolajoyce.co.uk
Christine is qualified Nutritional Therapist, NLP Practitioner, Chef and Food and Health Consultant and is our nutritional expert! She has over 16 years experience in the food and health industry working with a wide range of clients from Corporates, Food and Health Manufacturers to Charities, Local Authorities, families and children. An experienced Food and Health Writer Christine regularly contributes to national and local Magazines on Food, Health, Nutrition and Fitness. She has appeared extensively in the media including radio and television.
