Why Rhiannon Loves Coombes Wood

rhiannon8Rhiannon, aged eight, gives us ten reasons why she loves Coombes Wood
I like Coombes Wood because:

1. There are lots of puddles to splash in
2. In the autumn there are lots of fungi to find
3.There are nice trees that you can stand in
4. You can hear lots of birds singing
5. It’s not all flat so you can climb up the hills
6. There is a farm shop that sells ice-cream in the summer
7. You can explore in the bushes
8. There are lovely plants to look at
9. You can sometimes see small frogs
10. There are hidden geocaches to find

Coombes wood – from Wokingham end go down Barkham Road, then up Bearwood Road and take the second turning on the left into Coombes Lane. Park anywhere down the lane. The wood stretches between there, Arborfield, the Barkham Road and Mole Road in Sindlesham.
