Toby’s 10 reasons he loves Dinton Pastures

Walking Man Dinton
1. When I get to Dinton, I know where to go and I can run, hide, play about and have lots of fun exploring.
2. Going to the park is really fun because I love doing the monkey bars and I usually meet someone I know.
3. It’s fun feeding the ducks & swans and being chased by the greedy geese.
4. It’s a cool place to go walking as you can go a short way or a long way and my baby brother can come in his pushchair.
5. I love to ride round on my bike as there are lots of bumps, dips and puddles to splash through.
6. It’s great to play whilst walking around the big lakes pretending to be soldiers and hiding like a spy but I especially like getting really muddy!
7. You can take a fishing net, bucket and jam jar and go pond dipping and see what animals you can find.
8. I like to sit on the wooden snail and climb trees and then play ‘pooh-sticks’ on the bridge over the sream.
9. It is brilliant taking a picnic in the summer and sitting by the lake watching the boats going by.
10. At the end of the day I like to go to the cafe and sit in the garden with a treat and a drink.

Thanks for the interesting write up Toby. We really enjoyed being shown around Dinton Park. It’s a lovely place for all the family to enjoy, and seeing what you like doing gives us some inspiration as to what to encourage our own children to do at similar places.
It’s no surprise that you especially like getting muddy! It seems to be a favourite pass time of many active children!! =-)
