I wrote this article so I hope my comments will be useful. I&#039;d say that anyone can have a go at &#039;gentle&#039; mountain biking, just as long as they are confident enough to ride a bike on a surface other than tarmac. Find some flattish terrain (&quot;firetracks&quot; are great) and make sure your biking buddy/buddies know not to put any pressure on you, and just see what you can do. Even if you start with as little as 20 minutes or so and build from there, that&#039;s great going. If you can get to The Look Out there are some gentle, wide trails around the car park and cafe area.
