‘KIDS 2′ to combat childhood obesity

Rosemary Conley Kids 2
In Britain today, 25% of children are overweight or obese. By 2050, this is expected to rise to 60%
Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Clubs, the only national slimming organisation which offers exercise in addition to dietary advice, has recently launched a brand new programme for children – Kids2.
Kids2 is now being offered at classes in Wokingham. The six week programme is revolutionary as it invites a child between the ages of 7 and 14 years and a parent to attend classes together.
The pair will participate in fun activities which offer practical and motivational advice, take part in nutritional games and quizzes, fitness circuits and learn about healthy meal planning and preparation. There is a big emphasis on everyone involved having fun.
“Kirsty Ede is perfectly placed to help families learn how to change their lifestyles…”
Kids2 provides children with the opportunity to participate in a programme which is both non-threatening and non-competitive where the emphasis is on fun, fitness and healthy eating.

Kids 2 Wokingham
It is not a slimming club for kids but is designed to really help them to feel successful and positive about their physical pursuits.
“It is important to establish ways to combat the growing trend of obesity in the UK, especially amongst the younger generation. Kirsty Ede is perfectly placed to help families learn how to change their lifestyles to become healthier just by making a few simple changes” says Rosemary Conley, CBE.
“The number of obese children has increased considerably over the last few years, with some as young as eight registering high cholesterol levels and high blood pressure. We seek to change all that by providing the type of activity that will work children sufficiently to achieve substantial health benefits, with lots of fun too!”
Amanda recently attended a course with her daughter Jess. She says
“It’s been a great way to learn about exercise and nutrition together in a really fun environment”
